Bottomless Pit #190 ESP-Disc Records
#190- from May 16, 2015
A salute to one of the greatest American record labels ever, ESP-Disc Records, a label that went where others dared not go. They elevated the culture. We hear The Fugs, Albert Ayler, Pearls Before Swine, Karl Berger, Sun Ra, The Godz, and many more. I only regret that I didn’t know about Patty Waters at the time, otherwise she’d have been included.

Bottomless Pit w/ Marshall Crenshaw #234 What Might Cub Play?
Просмотров 129Месяц назад
#234- from June 4, 2016 The late great Rock artiste Cub Koda was someone that I was glad to know. He was the first Rock musician I ever knew who had his own radio show- maybe I got the idea from him. Another recurring show motif on the Bottomless Pit was called “What Might Cub Play?”, where I’d try and tap into his own unique stream of consciousness. On this edition, I throw in lots of great Bo...

Jack Scott "What In the World's Come Over You"
Everyone last June of 2024????
With his deep voice, Jack Scott sounded nothing like many of the other male singers then popular with the teenagers. Even some of his songs - like the one here and especially "Burning Bridges" - were more adult than 90% of the songs the teenagers were buying.
Sounds a lot like Sonny James’ version of the song I love. Love this one too 👏🏻🥰‼️ Someone needs to redo the video though, without all the screaming. Irritating 😏‼️
With new songs tragic songs I'll never get to enjoy
He sounds like Sonny James.
Strolling through the house to this 😂😅😊😊😊 oh the good days😊😅😂
This guy was my hero when I was a kid. Detroit will always love you RIP Soupy.
Very nice 👍🏼.
+!
I met jack scott several years ago in the mid 90s after a show. He seemed very pleasant.
.....It's funny watching the young guy in the audience just yearning for the pretty girl to his left.........I can relate completely, life is so sweet in those young years of love
Jack was born and spent his childhood in Windsor, Ontario Canada
My father is in the crowd here.
It was our time,so happy living as a youngster back then!
House of the rising sun ......best version
Wow i'm almost 75 and still love this song..............
I'm almost 80 and never tire of this tune especially the bass guy in the Chantones who makes the Jordainaires' guy pale by comparison.
Love this song
Good job
My 2 favorite shows as a little kid, Soupy Sales and Tom Terrific.
Shouldn't the Sweetwater Music Hall be in Indiana?
" Just sayin' ... "
You've always been * more than * "Outstanding"!
Lip synching-where are the amplifiers?
As they said, Great Scott, it's Jack Scott. great song.
Thanks for posting these recordings. Maybe someday if you’re bored or have time put together a RUclips playlist (or Spotify) from your record collection? Cheers
